Today marks the 3 month mark!

It seems crazy that it has already been three months since we left California for our new home. Ryan joked that means we only have nine months to go! That doesn't mean we're leaving in nine months, although that's what we joke about, it means we won't have to pay back the relocation expenses!

The last three months have been so crazy, so much fun, and so very rewarding. Sometimes we look around shocked because we still can't believe we live here. Everything happened so quickly and it wasn't something we were planning to do at all! I think we still can't believe it sometimes. One of the good things about being here is we don't have attachments to people or things. At home, we rarely had really free time. We always had plans to go to this person's house, celebrate this birthday, go to this meeting, etc. and here we have no obligations, so we get to enjoy our time in a whole new way. Granted, sometimes we do miss it though! It's been tough without our friends and family; we often wish they were here to experience this adventure with us. We really do see it as an adventure. Every weekend we try to do something fun and new, like picking strawberries last week, going to a local festival, or taking in some history, which we are doing tomorrow by spending the day at Mount Vernon (George Washington's estate and memorial). We haven't made any friends out here yet, but we know we will in time. For now, we're making the most of learning about each other. When you only have one another to rely on, to complain too, and share with, you really learn a lot about yourself, the other person, and your relationship. This has definitely been a growing experience for us and we love it! We're looking forward to whatever will happen next!

We miss you all!
