Grandpa's Visit

Logan is a very lucky little guy. It seems like he gets to meet more family every few weeks or sometimes even every few days! Shortly after Ali and Natalie left, my Dad came for a visit. Logan was excited to meed his Grandpa and my Dad couldn't wait to meet his 5th Grandchild.

Ryan made the great suggestion of taking Dad to the Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum. It's part of the Smithsonian but is in Virginia, near Dulles Airport. It's HUGE! It's a big hangar filled with awesome planes, space crafts, gliders, hot air balloons... It was the perfect thing to do with my Dad because he is retired Air Force and loves history.

Teach me all about planes Grandpa!

We also made sure to do the driving tour of DC and spent some time in my awesome neighborhood. Unfortunately, Dad could only stay for a couple of days. We were the first stop on his Grandkid tour (they all live on this side of the country). We had a great time though and can't wait for him to be back! Logan misses his Grandpa!

3 Months Old

Sweet Logan, time is flying by and you are already 3 months old. We just can't believe how fast you are growing and how much you have changed since your birth. You love to smile now and you are such a little flirt. You have a cute little crooked smile that bursts into a big open-mouthed smile with your little tongue sticking out when we make funny faces at you or when you see a pretty girl. You've also begun to laugh and the sound just melts our hearts. You are becoming more active and attentive. There's a little octopus hanging from your activity gym and he has become your favorite toy; you hold on to his legs and stare at him or chew on the little fish he holds. We're also noticing your first bad habit... you love to watch TV! While you are supposed to play with the other ocean creatures in your activity gym, you get distracted by all the movement on the TV and crane your neck so you can see it. Your little legs get moving at the same time and you can now spin in a circle, like a crazy cartoon character but in slow motion. Now, when we put you in your crib to sleep, you start with your head on one end, but end up with your head at the other end! You love to practice sitting up. You grasp our thumbs, we pull you up into a sitting position, and you are all smiles. We can see your muscles growing as you rock back and forth like there's a little musical beat in your imagination. You are just about ready to roll over too. As soon as you figure out what to do with that pesky arm, there will be no stopping you! You love going to daycare. You are doing things we didn't think you could do already, like finger paint! Your teachers keep you so busy, you come home so exhausted, we have to wake you up to eat your last bottle of the day and we have to hold your head up in the tub. When you aren't exhausted, you have quite the appetite. You eat between 5 and 7 ounces with every bottle and it shows! You already weigh 15 1/2 pounds and all of your jammies are for boys three times your age! Even though you are so big, you are still our sweet, snuggly, little baby. Everyone who meets you helps us spoil you with snuggles and you deserve it. We love you sweet Logan!
