5 Months Old

Wow! Being a working mama is EXHAUSTING! I can't believe it's been a month and a half since our last post. Where does the time go?!

Little Logan is now 5 months old and he definitely isn't so little anymore! He's weighing in at nearly 18 pounds and he is one sturdy baby! He is so strong and becoming visibly stronger each day. He used to hate tummy time and now he pushes up right onto his hands, can play with toys while on his tummy, and can stay there for a half hour. He very easily rolls over from back to belly and I've seen him roll over completely once! He loves sitting up and observing the world and can sit on his own for a few seconds. He's enjoying practicing standing as well, especially in front of a mirror, showing off his skills and beautiful smile to the baby in the mirror. He's the most calm baby I've ever known... until you let him loose in his exersaucer, then he goes nuts, fearlessly flinging himself around, furiously playing with all the little attached toys, and squealing with delight. We call the exersaucer his castle and he is clearly the king of his castle. He also attacks anything that gets near his mouth: bibs, toys, fingers... he is one hungry boy! He has the best laugh. It's so uninhibited and comes from deep in his belly. He thinks it's hilarious when Ryan counts to five and when I clap for the missing letters while we sing the Logan-version of Bingo: "there was a mom who had a boy and Logan was his name-o, L-O-G-A-N, L-O-G-A-N, L-O-G-A-N, and Logan was his name-o!"

Here are a few of our favorite photos from the last 6 weeks:

Who's cute? Me?!

Am I supposed to jump in this thing?

But I'm tired...
