As you can see, very little has happened on this blog since 2012. That was because there was a lot was happening in our little world and as we were handed several new challenges some things, like this blog, fell to the wayside.
As many of you know, when our son was born, I suffered heart failure and even though I was given a clean bill of heart health in August 2013, I was dealing with developing fibromyalgia as a result of either the difficult pregnancy or the heart failure.
It took quite some time to get our lives in order and to feel like we had balance and mostly, for me to find the energy to just be a good mom and wife who also works full time outside the home. In the last few months, I have started to feel like things are coming together and would like to open up our lives to you again. I don't claim to be an expert at anything, but I have a lot of interests and hopefully some of you will be interested in these things too!
What you are most likely to see here will be posts about:
- my family and me
- couponing (who knew I would learn to love a hobby that actually saves us money?!)
- fibromyalgia and all of the weird things that come with it like...
- gluten-free and potato-free cooking (that's right, I can't eat white potatoes!)
- emergency preparedness (I am an aspiring prepper even though we live in an urban apartment and have no skills)
- my brown thumb and our sad balcony garden (if I can do it, you can do it!)
- and, our environment (my work has to sneak in here somehow!)
I hope you enjoy!
